The wait is over. Berkshire’s most chaotic, strategic, and secretly funny tradition has officially begun. As of April 28th, every player is holding a target card, and somewhere on campus, someone is holding yours.
Welcome to Last Bear Standing.
For the next few days, the rules are simple, but the game is not. Your mission is to eliminate your assigned target with a clean hug while avoiding becoming someone else’s win. It may sound easy, but it quickly turns into a campus-wide battle. Trust between friends is tested; a normal walk outside is now risky; always check your shoulder.
Round One states you are only safe when you are within arm’s length of one other person. Alliances will form fast, but so will suspicion. That friend next to you might be helping you, or they might be waiting for the right moment to step away. Every part of campus becomes part of the game. Outside is not safe. Dorm hallways are not safe. Even going from one class to another takes some planning. People are always watching and waiting.
What makes Last Bear Standing so special is that it is a Berkshire tradition everyone shares. For a few days, the whole campus is on it, and anything can change with just one hug. So stay alert, be smart, and try not to walk alone. Good luck, Bears!
