As the end of the fall trimester draws to a close, bears are eagerly awaiting the announcement of Mountain Day. Meanwhile, sports teams are cherishing their final moments with the seniors who will be missed dearly.
A great opportunity to demonstrate this appreciation is during senior games. Senior games offer time to reflect on the team’s growth, celebrate the leadership and accomplishments of those who will be graduating in the spring, and inspire those who follow.
As we transition from sunshine and warm weather to cold breezes and rainy days under the Mountain, bears are beginning to bundle up with cozy sweaters and jackets. On walks to class, they admire the leaves transitioning from shades of green to a beautiful array of red, orange, and yellow. Bears are also spending time on the turf playing spike ball or passing lacrosse balls with friends before the cold weather takes over campus.
Fall Festival was a campus favorite this year, with hay rides, face painting, and plenty of treats, including cotton candy, popcorn, pizza, and more.
For Halloween, Bears brainstormed creative costume ideas to steal the spotlight at the annual competition during All School Meeting. Whether the costume was thought out weeks in advance or thrown together last minute, like the classic “Sleeping Beauty,” students showed off their look to the faculty and their classmates.
Bears love seeing spooky decorations and pumpkins around campus, perfectly capturing the vibe of the season. Halloween night concluded with trick-or-treating from house to house on campus, as students collected sweet treats from dorm parents, mentors, advisors, and teachers.
Heading into the winter trimester after the upcoming Thanksgiving break, which offers time for relaxation and family reunion, the bears will maintain their positive outlook and uplifting spirits that never fail to bring a smile to our community members.
