As the sun set on Saturday, October 18th, bears came together for an evening of fun, autumn-themed events and treats. Organized by our hard-working student activities committee, the night, which took place on the lawn outside the campus center, was a major success.
Whether students were craving a late-night snack, feeling ready for friendly competition, or wanting an opportunity to bond with peers, Fall Festival accommodated every need. Students delighted over caramel apples, pizza, donuts, cotton candy, sandwiches, and homemade popcorn.
One highlight of the night was the spooky hayride around campus, which gave students the chance to enjoy the fall foliage. For those wanting to show off their artistic skills and get into the Halloween spirit early, the pumpkin carving station was a perfect opportunity!
After enjoying delicious food and bonding with friends, a number of brave students partook in a pie-eating contest, while their friends cheered them on. In the end, there were two winners, each of whom received a gift card to Shawn’s Place in honor of their triumph.
When the evening air brought a slight chill, friends gathered around campfires to roast s’mores, share a laugh, and get spooky face paint designs. Fall Festival is an event many look forward to, and it did not disappoint in bringing the community together in a spirited way!
