Dear Readers of The Green and Gray,
Welcome to the final installment of our editor’s note for the 2024-25 school year, a tradition restarted in the Fall issue that will continue far into The Green and Gray’s future. We are incredibly grateful for the positive response from the Berkshire community each time we publish, and we are very proud of the exemplary work featured in every issue. In publishing this Spring issue, we have upheld our commitment to releasing three issues both in print and online, providing a physical and digital record of the 2024-25 school year.
At a time when so much is changing in the Berkshire community—the opening of the stunning Campus Center comes to mind—we are reminded of the importance of student voice and opinion, which helps keep our community connected and informed. In this issue, you will find another installment in our recently established Foreign Language section, the Green and Gray games, senior superlatives, and articles on world news and on-campus events.
As Spring comes, so does graduation, and with that comes the departure of many of our staff who have contributed much to The Green and Gray throughout their time at Berkshire. We would like to thank our outgoing Editor-in-Chief, Trevor Sullivan Weinstein ’25, as well as Julia Echavarria ’25, Jenny Lee ’25, Michkael McKenzie ’25, and Sofia Patkanovtsiy ’25 for their tireless work and dedication to The Green and Gray.
Looking to the future, we would like to congratulate Blythe Bradshaw ’26 on her selection to serve as Editor-in-Chief alongside Claire Kim ’26 for the 2025-26 school year. We are incredibly excited to see the continued growth and success of The Green and Gray under their leadership.
Finally, we would like to conclude with a note of gratitude to you, our readers, who pick up a copy or read an article online at berkshiregreenandgray.org. In reading The Green and Gray, you are supporting students who may be discovering the joy of journalism for the first time. You are supporting a freshman who has mustered the courage to publish their first opinion piece, and you are supporting the freedom of students to express themselves and explore their passions, whether in editing or writing. You, dear reader, are ensuring The Green and Gray continues this vital work for years to come. In other words, thank you for taking the time to read with us. Stay curious, stay informed, and stay hopeful.
Sincerely,
Trevor Sullivan Weinstein ’25 and Claire Kim ’26, Editors-in-Chief
