At the March 31st All-School Meeting, the room erupted in cheers as Nathalie Fenton ’26 and Emmanuel Marmolejo ’26 were announced as the new All-School Presidents for the 2025-2026 school year. I spoke with both of them to learn more about their Berkshire experiences, their vision for the school, and how they plan to lead the community.
When finding out they had won, Fenton explained that experiencing “The hugs, the ‘congratulations,’ and the ‘I voted for you’” was when it finally hit her. “It felt amazing to have the support of the school,” she added. Emmanuel shared a similar feeling, stating, “I might not have shown it on the outside, but on the inside, I was truly thrilled. The first thing I thought about was how grateful I was to everyone who supported and voted for me,” he continued.
Both Fenton and Marmolejo bring strong passion, purpose, and positivity to their leadership roles. For Fenton, the inspiration came early. As a first-year student, she was deeply affected by Bridget Alamu ’23, the All-School President at the time. She made me feel so special and welcomed. I immediately knew I wanted to give others the same experience,” explained Fenton.
Marmolejos’ decision came later but was just as meaningful. “After the soccer season ended, I started thinking about it, but I wasn’t sure. Then, Trevor Sullivan Weinstein ’25, our Head Prefect, told me he thought that I could win, and that really pushed me to go for it,” he remarked.
Both presidents share a clear vision: to improve student life at Berkshire by boosting school spirit, fostering connections, and creating a more inclusive environment. “I want every student to feel seen, supported, and excited to be at Berkshire,” said Fenton. She hopes to build new traditions, collaborate with the Parents Association, and encourage students to take risks and make the most of their time here under the Mountain.
Marmolejo echoed that vision, saying, “I want students to look back at this year and remember it as a time that truly stood out.” His focus is on open communication and helping students feel comfortable sharing their ideas. “When people feel at ease, they’re more willing to speak up and contribute,”
As leaders, both All-School-Presidents emphasize positivity and approachability. Fenton leads by example, showing up, being encouraging, and building joy into everything she does. Emmanuel brings strong communication and team energy, stating, “Whether I’m on the pitch or in a meeting, I’m always rallying people together.” Together, they form a strong and dynamic team ready to lead Berkshire through a spirited and memorable 2025-26 school year.
