At Berkshire, Spring Family Weekend is a time for families to reunite and witness the beauty of spring under the Mountain. Student speakers participated in various workshops and panels to inform parents of everything Berkshire offers. Along with these events, there were also many athletic games that families could attend to watch students play. This year, Spring Weekend fell over Easter, so many went home to celebrate the holiday, and some celebrated on campus with church services being offered to students and faculty.
The most significant attraction for families was a tour of the new Campus Center, which just recently opened after spring break. The Campus Center includes the new dining hall, student spaces (including ping pong, foosball, and pool), a new bookstore, and Shawn’s Place. This space has become a constantly buzzing hub for students on campus.
Spring Family Weekend was an opportunity to bring families together to enjoy the nice weather and positive energy of spring under the Mountain. With trees blossoming, the fields getting greener, and flowers blooming, Berkshire truly becomes beautiful after the cold winter. Spring Family Weekend was filled with energy and joy and, overall, was a time to appreciate Berkshire’s magnificence.
