Trivia Night & Pathfinder Night – Friday, January 31st
Trivia Night was an exciting, spirited, and community-filled night on campus. Dorms were paired up with one another to answer questions broadcasted on WBSL 91.7 (our on-campus radio station) to earn points. While some students stayed in the dorms doing trivia, participants in Pathfinder were given clues to find specific locations around campus. Once found, students had to bring their answers to the second floor of Allen Theatre to claim the next clue and collect their earned points. Some of the night’s challenges included creating a dance to the Friends theme song and collecting items that all begin with Q! Trivia Night allows students from various dorms to spend time together running around campus completing fun tasks, searching for clues, and answering questions to earn points for their dorm.
Activities & Traditions – Saturday, February 1st
The annual Winter Carnival parade commenced at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. The parade displayed each dorm’s unique and extravagant costumes. The first destination was the Soffer Athletic Center, where the head prefects lit the Winter Carnival snowflake, a long-standing Berkshire tradition, to kick off the night. Then, students gathered on the football field to participate in activities such as the three-legged race, tug-of-war, and dog sled races while onlookers enthusiastically cheered for their dorms.
Ice Skits & Costumes – Saturday, February 1st
After activities, around 9:00 p.m., each dorm went to the Jackson Stewart Athletic Center to perform their ice skits. The prefects choreographed these ice skits based on the year’s theme of board games. Each dorm was assigned a different game, such as The Game of Life, Clue, and Candy Land, and they diligently practiced their skits in the weeks leading up to the big night. As one of the many highly praised traditions at Berkshire, Winter Carnival 2025 helped dorms bond and brought liveliness and excitement to the cold winter months.
