With the season coming to an end, Berkshire Boys Varsity Soccer has had a fantastic season, posting a record of 15-1-2.
This has been a record-breaking season. With the first perfect month for Coach Amolo, the Bears defeated the defending Class A champions Milton in a tough 1-0 game. With fantastic form and momentum, they added to their impressive record with wins against Loomis and Taft, two of the strongest teams in the league.
After a defeat to Suffield, the Bears took a moment to regroup and analyze their performance, using it as motivation to come back stronger. In the games that followed, the Bears demonstrated their resilience and skill, securing victories over Pomfret, Canterbury, Kimball Union, and Brunswick with impressive scores of 7-1, 5-1, 3-0, and 3-0, respectively. These wins not only restored confidence but also solidified the team’s status as one of the most formidable squads this season.
Coach Amolo’s dedicated efforts and strategic guidance have been instrumental in the team’s success, as his coaching skills have helped each player reach their potential. Additionally, the collaboration and hard work of all team members have been key factors in this record-breaking season, with each player contributing to outstanding achievements on the field.
As the season finished, the Bears are into the playoffs and ready to tackle the remaining games with focus and determination, aiming to lift the New England NEPSAC trophy.
