Hockey is, and always has been a huge part of Berkshire. Last year, we fell to Kent in a close 4-3 game. This year, we will come back stronger. Certainly, before the season starts, the Bears should know more about the season and what to expect.
A highly anticipated season is in store for the Berkshire Boys’ Varsity Hockey team as they prepare to take to the ice and show off their hockey skill and strength. With a promising roster and high expectations, they are definitely one of the competitors for the championship this year. Already, some of the key players and leaders of the team are setting high goals and sharing their vision for the coming success.
Dylan Pagliuca ’27 looks to lock up a good season with some critical matchups to tease. He emphasizes the importance of winning major games to secure a playoff spot, especially their highly anticipated matchup against Avon Old Farms. “We need to have a strong season and win key games,” Pagliuca stated, highlighting the team’s determination to secure victories.
The team’s seniors, such as Wilson Miller ’25, get ready to take the ice for the last time in high school. “I’m looking forward to a memorable and fun year,” he said. When asked about both personal and team goals, Miller replied with a desire “to have fun and enjoy this senior season.” He also mentioned aiming for a win in the Pink Out game, which is at home against Taft this year.
Led by passionate leadership and a deep roster of experienced seniors mixed with talented underclassmen, the team is expected to bring intensity to every game. Berkshire Bears are always excited to win more games, and we definitely will this year. Go Bears!
