All School President: Elle Eggeleston
Hi! My name is Elle Eggleston. I am in the sixth form. I am from Aspen Colorado, and I am living in Buck this year. Last year in history class, I sparked an interest in wanting to do something with student government. I have always strived to have an important role in the community, and I wanted to take the opportunity to do everything I could to make our student body feel more inclusive. I want to create a healthy balance between the student and the faculty, to ensure that both sides feel heard. Something I want the school to benefit from is that all grades feel they have a voice and are heard in our community. It is crucial that people have a positive experience and feel that they have the outlets necessary to have the high school experience they want and I want them to have.
VI President: Summer Rippetoe
Hi! My name is Summer. I am from Cohasset, Massachusetts and I am a four year senior. I am living in the Spurr dorm this year. I ran to be a student leader because I want to be a resource and outlet where students feel comfortable sharing their concerns. It is my third year being class president, and it is such a great opportunity to be able to serve and contribute to the well-being of the student body. I love to help my community in any way possible. As a student leader, I like to take action and work with my form to be an advocate for what they need and what they want. I work with both the students and the school to take action in various ways in how we can better our community. I will continue to advocate for what is best for my grade, to make this year the best it can be for the class of 2024!
VI President: Alex Weil
Hi, my name is Alex Weil. I am a 3rd year senior from New York City. I live in the Allen Dormitory. I ran for a leadership position in order to unify my grade in our final year of high school. I have devoted my time to voicing the opinion of any student who wants to be heard. It is paramount for everyone to have an equal say whether or not they hold a leadership position. I plan to organize and lead school-wide and form-wide events and bonding activities to bring more energy and unification to the school.
V President: Mia Luna
Hi, my name is Mia Luna. I am in the fifth form, and I have lived in Puerto Rico my whole life. I am in Buck this year. I chose to run for student council because there are many ideas and concerns that students have about the way the student body is run, but only some feel comfortable voicing their opinions. I want everyone to know that they can come talk to me with any questions. I plan to bring a new perspective to Berkshire and diversify events and traditions. I am thrilled to be able to provide students with a warm welcome into the community. I want to make this a memorable year for everyone.
V President: Michkael McKenzie
Hey, my name is Michkael McKenzie and along with Mia, I am the fifth-form class president. I am based in Connecticut, but my heart is in Jamaica with the rest of my family. I am currently living in a Senior house, and it has been a blast! I enjoy having Dr. Burch as both my advisor and dorm parent, and man … those Sunday dinners hit every time. To answer your question about becoming a student leader, to be honest, it just felt natural. I love Berkshire, and I care about my form, so I just wanted the ability to express my want to be there for my community. I am so blessed to be a part of the Student Council, and with this position I hope to make this year one of the best years for my class. Junior year is tough so I want to do everything in my power to make sure that my class understands that they always have someone in their corner. Mia and I plan to have some good form bonding events and find some ways to connect our form. It is going to be an amazing year!
IV President: Winnie Freund
Hey everyone, My name is Winnie Freund. I am in the fourth form, and I am from Bedford, New York. I live in the Buck dormitory. I ran to be a student leader because I wanted to put myself out there and immerse myself with my peers. As a student leader, I want to use my position to involve our grade with one another more in order to bond us closer together. This is a great opportunity for me to expand my horizons and learn new things about myself to become confident in my abilities. I am excited to see what the rest of this year has in store for our grade!
IV President: Will Reynolds
My name is Will Reynolds, and I am in the fourth form. I am from a small suburb called Winnetka in Illinois. I decided to run for student council to create a closer connection between the students and the faculty, whilst keeping our grade close. I am planning to be as open as possible to any feedback from my classmates and make sure that everyone is informed about the new policies that are put in place so the student body can be on the same page. Thank you for listening. Go Bears!
III Form President: Kate O’Keefe
Hi! My name is Kate O’Keefe. I am in the third form, and it is my first year at Berkshire. I am from Pembroke, Bermuda. I am living in the freshman girls’ dorm Godman this year. I came to the decision to run for a student leadership position to have an opportunity to become more involved with the school and my grade. I was eager to take on a bigger role in the school to ensure that our class is heard. I will make sure that everyone can equally take advantage of the various opportunities that Berkshire has to offer, and that everyone has a nice experience throughout the school year.
III Form President: Allan Qi
Hi, my name is Allan Qi, and I am currently a third former. I’m from Shenzhen, China and I live in DeWindt. I chose to run for student leader because I wanted to take the initiative and help out all third-formers with the experience I have. We’ve just settled in and new students are confused, therefore I wish to do anything I can to support this transition. As a third-form student leader, I plan to collaborate with leaders from other forms and better the Berkshire community by creating events and gathering suggestions from my peers. I will make friends with the student body and be an outstanding student leader.
