On Friday, October 18, Fall Family Weekend kicked off under the Mountain with exciting under-the-lights games with our Girls’ and Boys’ Varsity soccer teams. The atmosphere was electric as Berkshire families gathered around food trucks and turf to cheer on the Bears.
The night’s first game was Girls’ Varsity soccer, led by Coach Gillon, Coach Gappa, and Coach Julio. The Bears played a close game against Suffield Academy, competing for every ball and playing with determination.
Following the girls, the Boys’ Varsity soccer team, led by Coach Amolo, Coach Collopy, and Coach Greene, took to the field in another matchup against Suffield Academy. Coming out strong, the Bears took the early lead over the Tigers in the first half. The crowd was enthusiastic after every play, rushing to the players after goals to celebrate with the team. Once the final horn rang, the students stormed the field to celebrate a great win under the lights for BVS! The final score was 6-0 to the Bears.
Overall, the Girls’ and Boys’ Varsity soccer games were a great way to kick off Fall Family Weekend. All the families and students in attendance enjoyed great food, exciting games, and spent time with their families and friends under the mountain.
